Joseph Mast grew up as a seventh generation dairy farmer and began his auction career in Amish Country of rural Holmes County, Ohio. Since that time he has become a champion auctioneer, industry icon and recognized authority on leadership. Today Joseph Mast and Mast Auctioneers provide preeminent Auction Talent serving the world's finest auction markets. As a 15 year veteran Joseph has become a sought after speaker and thought leader on General Business Leadership and Auctioneering.
Joseph Mast currently leads teams of up to 50 auctioneers and auction professionals at Barrett-Jackson Auctions Co.: Classic & Collector Car Auctions, Fasig-Tipton: Premiere Thoroughbred Racehorse Auctions and the Akron Auto Auction: Northeast Ohio’s leading Wholesale Automobile Auction. Additionally, Joseph Mast is an auctioneer for CAT Auction Services: Heavy Equipment Auctions, Harrisburg Standard bred Sales: Horse Auctions, and Williams & Williams Real Estate Auctions. Locally Joseph is the owner and leader of the RES, Real Estate Showcase Co. that includes 50 Realtors and 15 Auctioneers.
Joseph Mast’s Championship career began in 2001 as an auctioneer in the rolling hills of rural Northeast, Ohio and he quickly found himself conducting 6 automobile auctions weekly. In 2005 was named the Ohio Auctioneer Champion by the Ohio Auctioneers Association. In 2011 he won the prestigious 2011 International Auctioneer Championship and is still the youngest man to ever win the award.
Joseph Mast’s career has led him to appear on the nationally televised GEICO Commercial Campaign. He has helped raise hundreds of millions of dollars for charities and benefits both locally and nationally including the “Power of Love Auction” in Las Vegas for Larry Ruvo and the “Brent Shapiro Foundation” for Attorney Bob Shapiro. He has served on the Board of Directors of the National Auctioneers Association.
Personally Joseph Mast is married to his high school sweetheart and has three children and lives on a small farm in Millersburg, Ohio. He is a pilot, an avid conversationalist and hunter and also enjoys cycling.
Andy White, CAI, CAS
Born and raised in Ashland, Ohio, Andy graduated from Ashland High School and went on to The Ohio State University where he studied Agricultural Education. In 2002 he graduated from the Missouri Auction School and completed his real estate courses from Hondros College in 2003. Since then Andy has been a full-time auctioneer specializing in Agricultural Real Estate and Equipment auctions. Andy also serves as a contract auctioneer for the Barrett-Jackson collector car auction, the Akron Auto Auction, Williams and Williams Worldwide Auction Company, and several other organizations. In 2007 Andy was the Ohio Auctioneers Champion and went on to be runner-up twice on the international stage before being named the 2013 International Auctioneers Champion. Andy’s most recent award was being crowned the 2016 World Livestock Auctioneer Champion. In 2017 Andy won the World Automobile Auctioneer Championship and became only the second auctioneer to win all three major championships. In 2010 Andy became the co-owner of Real Estate Showcase Auction Company, now RES Auction Services. Andy is a past president of the Ohio Auctioneers Association and received the highest designation an auctioneer can receive at the Certified Auctioneers Institute as well as the Contract Auction Specialist Designation. Andy and his wife Megan are active on his family farm where he hopes to instill his passion for agriculture in their 3 sons.
Fred was born and raised on a dairy farm in northern Holmes County and has lived and worked in the Wayne & Holmes County area his entire life. A graduate of Central Christian HS in 1972 he received a business degree from the Wooster Business College 1988. Fred obtained his Real Estate License in 1997 and his RE Brokers License in 2003. Fred is currently the President-elect of the Ashland Board of Realtors and served as President of the Wayne Holmes Assoc. of Realtors in 2008 and is currently Mediator for the Wayne Holmes Association. Fred currently serves on the Ohio Association of Realtors Executive Committee for 2018 and is also the Chairman of the OAR Professional Standards Committee for 2018. Fred has volunteered as Chairman of the Wayne County Home & Garden Show for the Wooster Chamber of Commerce for the past 25 years and received the Mike Lezak Award for Volunteerism in 2003 and was inducted into the Wayne Holmes Association of Realtors Hall of Fame in 2016.Fred resides just south of Wooster with his wife Lori and has 3 grown children and 8 grandchildren.
Seth Andrews, CAI
Seth is a 5th generation auctioneer and was born and raised in Wooster, Ohio where he still makes his home with his wife and daughters. He graduated from Triway High School in 1999 and Bowling Green State University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing. After working a sales job for a couple of years, he obtained his Real Estate License in 2007, Auctioneer's License in 2008 after attending Missouri Auction School, and most recently his Real Estate Broker's License in 2013. Seth was named the Ohio State Champion Auctioneer in the Junior Division in 2009 and Senior Division in 2012. He is currently serving on the Board of Directors for Ohio Auctioneers Association and would be glad to assist you with your auction needs or questions.
Peter D. Gehres, CAI, CAS, CES
Peter is a passionate advocate for the Auction Option of buying and selling. He is an International Auctioneer Champion and three-time state champion auctioneer. Licensed Auctioneer and Real Estate Salesperson in Ohio, Licensed and practicing auctioneering in Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Pennsylvania and Michigan. Peter is a speaker on the practice of auctioneering, real estate and personal property auction marketing as well as business leadership, professionalism, and ethics. In addition to auctioneering, Peter is part of RES Auction Service in-house marketing department.
Steve is a fourth generation professional auctioneer that grew up around the auction business in Holmes county, Ohio. After graduation from Hiland High School, Steve attended Ohio State University and graduated in 1970 with a BS in Animal Science. In the fall of 1970 Steve attended Reppert Auction School and immediately started his career as a full time professional auctioneer. Steve became a licensed Realtor in 1976. During the course of his career he has concentrated the bulk of his efforts toward the agricultural and rural residential sector of the business but has also successfully marketed some commercial and high end residential properties. Steve is a member and past president of the Ohio Auctioneers Association, a member of the National Auctioneers Association, and a member of the local, state, and national association of Realtors. Steve was elected to the Ohio Auctioneers Hall of Fame in 2008. With his son Seth entering the business approximately 6 years ago as the 5th generation Andrews auctioneer, the Andrews name will be associated with successful auction marketing and service for many years to come.
Mike Brandly, CAI, AARE
Mike Brandly began his auction career in 1979. He is president of Brandly & Associates, Inc. and is an associate and Auctioneer for Real Estate Showcase, a large real estate brokerage based in Ohio. Mr. Brandly’s appraisal company completes over 150 appraisals per year for Probate, Civil, and Bankruptcy cases. He holds a weekly auction at his facility in Groveport, Ohio, a twice-monthly car auction for Goodwill Columbus (Ohio,) various on-site auctions and other special-event auctions throughout the United States.
Mr. Brandly is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a degree in Mathematics as well as the AMI Certified Auctioneer Institute (CAI). He also holds the CAGA appraisal designation as well as the AARE real estate designation. He is a Former Director for the Ohio Auctioneers Association as well as a member of the Indiana, Kentucky and Michigan Auctioneer Associations. Mr. Brandly is a Life Member, Beginning Auctioneer Advisor and Presenter for the National Auctioneers Association.
Mr. Brandly also serves as an auction law and customary practice consultant, primarily providing this service to attorneys throughout the United States (Ohio, Indiana, Louisiana, Texas, New York, California, Virginia and Oklahoma thus far) representing clients involving auction law compliance, customary practice, regulatory investigations and the like. His work has encompassed analyzing video recordings of auctions, depositions, lawsuit claims and auction records including accounting and contracts.
Mr. Brandly is Executive Director of The Ohio Auction School. His other teaching responsibilities include frequent Real Estate and Auctioneer CE classes and seminars for Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan and West Virginia post-licensure. He serves as Distinguished Faculty at Hondros College of Business and has also instructed at Columbus State Community College. Mike is a faculty member of the Certified Auctioneers Institute held at Indiana University and is also approved by the Supreme Court of Ohio as a Continuing Legal Education instructor for attorneys.
Nick DeFelice is a graduate of West Holmes High School and is a member of the OAA and NAA. In 2006, he graduated from the Missouri Auction School, becoming a full time auctioneer the same year. In 2009, he earned his real estate license after attending Hondros College in 2008. Nick has competed and won awards in the OAA Bid Calling Championship Contests. He enjoys the auction business and takes great pride in his work. Hard work, honesty, and integrity is what he believes in life, as well as his auction business relations. Nick has experience with a wide variety of auctions including real estate, farms, farm equipment, auto, produce, estates, artifacts, Sheriff sales, and more. He lives in Shreve on a small farm where he enjoys raising cattle. Nick is one of the founders of County Line Produce Auction Ltd. in West Salem, Ohio that sells local produce several times a week throughout the growing season.
Troy resides in Anna, in mid western Ohio. He attended Reppert School of Auctioneering in 2008. He is active in Real estate, construction and agriculture. Troy has a degree in Landscape from Ohio State University ATI in Wooster. He has served on the Villages Volunteer Fire Dept. since 1990.
Laura Mantle, CAI, CAS
Laura has been an auctioneer since age 18. She graduated from The Ohio Auction School in 2006 where she is now an instructor. Working 3-5 auctions per week, Laura sells real estate, vehicles, antiques, and produce and conducts benefit auctions. Laura is the 2014 Michigan Auctioneer Champion, 2015 Indiana Champion Auctioneer, two-time finalist in the International Auctioneer Championship and holds the Certified Auctioneers Insitute (CAI) and Contract Auction Specialist (CAS) designations.
James Mast is a first generation auctioneer/Realtor and is a graduate of World Wide College of Auctioneering in Mason City, Iowa. As a member of the Amish community, James strives to provide professional and quality service and looks forward to building relationships one auction at a time.
Jon Mast, CAI
Jon Mast attended Goshen College and has a Business Administrative Degree from Mt. Vernon Nazarene University. He has earned a most revered professional designation, CAI (Certified Auctioneers Institute). In 1999, Jon became a licensed Realtor and in 2001 became broker of RES. He is now the auction manager of RES. He resides in Holmes County, Ohio with his wife Rhoda and has three children and 6 grandchildren.
Billy Peyton is a first generation auctioneer from Preble County Ohio. He's a graduate of Preble Shawnee High School. He attended auction school in 2013. Billy is a member of the Ohio Auctioneers Association as well as the National Auctioneers Association. He is the 2017 OAA Junior Auctioneer Champion.
Born and raised in Ashland, Ohio, Brock graduated from Ashland High School and attended Ohio State University. He then went on to the Hondros Business College where he earned his Real Estate License and then to the Reppert School of Auctioneering where he obtained his Auctioneer License. Since he was 15 years old, Brock has worked in sales, cutting his teeth at the local outdoorsman store called Fin, Feather, & Fur, where he spent many years learning from some of the best business personnel. In between then and now, he had other great job opportunities which took him from Chicago to Hong Kong, eventually taking him back here to Ohio where he made his roots grow deeper, growing his clientele and relationships as he achieves his goals that he set in motion years ago. Those goals involve a great career in real estate and being the Auctioneer/Realtor to help clients reach their goals in selling or buying real estate. Jake grew up as a 4th generation dairy farmer in Ashland, Ohio, where he still resides on the family farm with his wife, Leanne, and two daughters. After graduating from Crestview High School, Jake continued farming until he headed west to attend the Colorado School of Trades. Upon graduation in 2008 with an Associate’s Degree in Gun Smithing, Jake was offered a Pro Staff position at Fin Feather Fur in Ashland, Ohio. He quickly moved up within the company becoming a manager and proving his knowledge and experience with firearms. In 2016, Jake graduated from the Reppert School of Auctioneering and completed his real estate courses from Hondros Business College in 2017. Jake is an OAA and NAA member as well as a member of the National Realtors Association.
Mary grew up on a family farm in Ashland County where she graduated from Ashland High School and later attended The Ohio State University. With an understanding of what is important in life Mary started her family and then became a licensed realtor with HER Realtors. She is a graduate of the Reppert Auctioneer School. She works every Tuesday at the Akron Auto Auction and is on the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction team. Mary and her family still reside in Ashland County where she is a huge supporter of her children’s school and enjoys their sporting events. She loves spending time with her 4 kids and husband Andy. A lifetime resident of Ashland, she continues to be rooted and active with the community and has served as the Ashland Board of Realtors 2018 President, Kroc Center Salvation Army Advisory Board, and is a member of the board of the Ashland Chamber of Commerce.
Kevin Teets, CAI
Kevin Teets is an auctioneer specializing in the sale of heavy and construction equipment at auction. He is a graduate of the Mendenhall School of Auctioneering, a West Virginia Champion Auctioneer and International Auctioneer Finalist. He has nearly two decades of auction experience and has sold yellow iron, farm equipment, and related assets across the United States, Australia, Spain, England and Germany.
David E. Angelo
David grew up on a Pennsylvania dairy farm and worked extensively on area farms before joining the US Army Infantry. After his military service, David worked in Pennsylvania, Wyoming, and Oklahoma Oil & Gas Industries. Today David is an Auctioneer and Realtor and works with clients across Ohio and assists RES Auction Services with the day of auction operations and support. He lives with his wife on a small farm in Coshocton County where they breed and sell registered feinting goats and manages numerous rental properties.
